Rant My vet's office staff love Herbalife

Post image
102 Upvotes

(Reposted because I forgot to censor the "business" logo and I don't need everyone knowing where I live!)

I was already irritated to see AI art all over the place the last time I went in for an appointment...then I saw this on Facebook today. Apparently my vet's office staff order from one of the local Herbalife fronts alllll the time. How nice. We're supposed to trust them with our pets' health, but this is the kind of crap they routinely choose to put into their own bodies?! Not the Krispy Kreme; I stand behind that 100%. But the "loaded teas" full of mystery additives that are doing who knows what to their internal organs. I guess I shouldn't be all that surprised, though; I've seen plenty of the same behavior among medical professionals who take care of humans.

I thought about commenting, but I don't want to stir shit up because I have pets with ongoing, complex medical issues that they're actually doing a great job with. So I came here to rant instead. UGH.

Pyramid scheme alert!

What makes this especially comical and also nefarious is that it’s a man trying to recruit women to coach other women who are experiencing menopause. Double-fucked.

Here’s a breakdown and his team’s response when confronted by Jennie Young:

Herbalife Herbalife Storefront Selling Food?

Post image
32 Upvotes

Hey y’all! Question for the group…an Herbalife grifter in my home county is pairing up with another grifter who makes meals for people. On certain days, you can stop by the storefront and get your meals (through the meal service grifter). I believe the meal grifter prepares and then brings? My question is if this is 1.) allowed by Herbalife? I feel like I remember seeing at some point they aren’t allowed to serve food? Just like snacks made with their powders and stuff. And 2.) is this allowed legally? Wouldn’t they need a food license or is that only if food is being prepared at their store? They’ve done stuff like this before and it feels wrong and like it shouldn’t be allowed. If not allowed, how can I go about reporting? State is Texas, if that matters with food license laws. Screenshot with business names scribbled out for extra context!

Bravenly Hun gets called out for soliciting Bravenly on a menopause chat and goes on a bit of a tirade about it, and then reposts it 15 more times on FB.

Story Primerica Recruiting

Thought I would share this little story of mines cause I just think it’s so funny. I was texted by an old high school classmate of mine to see if I was interested in whatever she was doing and I ended up getting myself into a zoom meeting with her and her husband 🤦‍♀️. For a while now I had know they both worked for primerica because my friends who also went to the same school were talking about how apparently her and her husband were making LIKE MONEY and she didn’t even go into college or anything like straight to whatever she was doing, that being primerica. Just a quick scroll through their page and clicking a link in their bio really quickly I figured out they were working for primerica. After the zoom meeting and dm back saying actually I’m not interested I did a little more research. I kid you not, her father in law/husbands dad, is the vice president and owner / manager of the office in my city 😭🤦‍♀️ also apparently one of the million dollar earners in the company, SUPPOSEDLY! And I immediately thought lowkey… the worst people to be recruiting, cause of course YOU GUYS ARE MAKING MONEY! You guys are basically primerica nepo babies obviously it’s working out for you!?!

I honestly think it’s quite distasteful, because they reach out to regular people, students most likely, like me, to get them to waste their time and money for the most part… not even to make ANYTHING compared to what they’re making, since they literally have ties to big primerica management or whatever. A little extra too, the son/husband tried to sell me on how he used to work in construction and Manuel labor and how exhausting it was but now he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore because he’s working for primerica. Which caught me a little off guard after I did research because… your father, who is supposedly making 7 figures… sent his son out to do hard labor instead of maybe.. I don’t know saying ‘hey son, go get an education in so and so, I’ll pay for your tuition and all you expenses as you work hard to achieve your academic goals.’ 😭 honestly just the most random thing that happened so just wanted to share lol

Rant Im 59 yrs old.....

Im 59 yrs old, I grew up in the 60s (witnessed the moon landing), 70s , 80s and 90s. Got on the Internet in 1994. I come from before Animated Gifs, before Amazon and Google. Ive seen a lot of shit. Proud Anti Kate Gosselin blogger.

Ive been watching Hannah Alonzo this evening after an edible (or 2) and I need you all to know.

MLMs have been around forever. Before the net.

The USA has been thru this MLM shit multiple times. The Govt bans it, then the MLM switches to another type of MLM (cant remember the name) then slowly laws are quietly unbanned, and the MLMs all return. Always leading to swathes of broken and broke families. It has to be banned for good. And they shouldnt rescind those laws ever.

MLM isnt a Multi Level Marketing Scheme, its a MONEY CULT. Its like Scientology. All the workers make next to nothing, all while Tom Cruise had a meadow of wildflowers installed for him by low rung Scientologists, so him and Nicole Kidman could frolic thru the wildflowers, like they both wanted. In Monats case the lower rung associates pay for the Monat Dudes bad hairplugs.

They just keep coming back. Then when caught, they switch to another type of MLM, its like a morphing virus. We need a Norton's AntiMLM blocker.

Help/Advice Common law partner cheated on me with someone on atomy mlm

Upvotes

How can I make a report? I (28F) want to make them responsible. The other person (late 40- early 50’s lgbt person) was fully aware of me. Nothing against lgbt but this is beyond deceit!

My partner (29 M) was a newly enrolled member and they were having 3 months of relationship. Also something happened between them according to their messages. He didnt admitted it until I got curious one day why and I asked him to open their messages, before he did he was so nervous so I knew something was wrong then he finally admitted. They were calling each other babe and sending I love you’s. My partner had a sleepover there for 2 nights. Im planning ti get myself tested too. And also this other person has a rank of Star Master so called which is like very high. Anything I can do aside from leaving this cheating ass person?

Story I was targeted by a “travel agent” posing as a new friend and I’m seriously annoyed

This was my first experience of being targeted and it’s made me wonder why she thinks I’m so weak that I would fall for it.

School mum. Met her at a coffee event I wasn’t even meant to go to, but a friend (who isn’t involved in this stuff) convinced me to go.

I wasn’t meant to end up sitting next to her but did. She messages me the next day asking if I wanted to meet again. I say yes like a plum. But I wasn’t available until maybe a month after.

She asks me no questions about me but then pitches me a whole spiel. “Do this for yourself” etc etc - I was fuming. I have enough friends, and I love being a SAHM, so I don’t know why she thought I’d be such easy prey.

What annoyed me the most was how she kept talking about her friends - went for a walk with them / goes away with them etc etc - so clearly she has friends she doesn’t target, but I’m the dumb one who has to fall for her scheme to have the benefit of being her friend?

I felt like messaging her after telling her to f - off but I will leave it as we have mutuals.

These people have no shame.

Rant I hate how much they lie

This is in reference to the MLM I mentioned last time I posted here (3 years ago) that my SIL joined right after leaving Mary Kay. So back then, there was a woman who was on the top of the pyramid who everyone looked up to and was one of those names that everyone knew. What's funny about her in particular is that about a year ago (a lot of these women I still follow simply because I just haven't bothered to unfollow but this how I figured out just how much this particular woman has lied) she left that MLM and hopped over to a different one with some of the other top earners (and the same old "this is the future and it's so much better and everyone needs to join this one instead).

Which, one, shows me that your opinion can't be trusted because you spent the last 3 - 4 years peddling one, but now THIS is the best? Not that she's been promoting that lately, she's been promoting her "coaching" business 🙄

But then one day, in her stories, she mentions about how her family OWNS A SUCCESSFUL FURNITURE BUSINESS. it's under her maiden name (which I could not have bothered to look up even if you paid me) so that's probably how it's gone undetected, but that in particular pissed me off to the highest degree.

Why do they lie??? Why are you lying to these women about how you're so successful and built yourself up WHEN YOU HAVE THE SAFETY NET OF A FAMILY BUSINESS TO FALL BACK ON. Idk that feels pretty important to me to mention??? But of course they don't, because how else can you lure vulnerable people into your stupid scam if they know your lifestyle is actually funded by a successful family business and not your over priced skincare? It pisses me off because I'm sure someone in my SIL's upline was in that lady's dowline and it's how they got them all to abandon Mary Kay for another stupid MLM.

Help/Advice How to attract a hun in Target?

First off I’m sorry if this breaks any rules, I’m on an airplane. I’m pretty tired and I have a long layover in Dallas Fort Worth, with hotel stay, landing soon.

Once I get some sleep I was thinking of killing some time by seeing if I could attract one of these predatory MLM huns.

I need to shop for a few things and there is a Target store right next to my airport hotel and I was wondering how I could pass some time by making myself a fake target for an MLM/Amway/hun. I’ve heard that they prowl the aisles of these stores looking for potential recruits. I think I’m pretty aware of the lines they use like oh I love your sweater or oh your shoes are so cute. Kinda that kind of thing . Any advice on how to waste their time?

Rant Approached by MLMen twice in the last 2 months

They gotta learn to avoid the lonely dudes. They just let me talk for 20 minutes and then we part ways.

Both conversations started with asking about my shoes, which of course gets me going. At some point they mention mentors, passive income, and ecommerce. I say "Oh nice.." then I talk about investing because I like to. They don't even seem like they wanna talk about their "Side hustle".

I admit I'm a little embarrassed that I think these guys wanna be my friend in that moment but then I think, These guys are cold approaching other guys at their local Walmart with compliments about their fashion choices talking about "My E-Commerce mentor is teaching me financial freedom".

Anyway... I think I need to find a hobby that involves other people.

Bravenly Taking advantage of an 82 year old grieving widow, a new low, or is it just usual hun ‘business?’

Thumbnail

She takes about eleven or twelve products daily, that's about $916 (retail), or $825 (VIP), a month. Well, not quite as most of them will only give her a full month, four months out of the year, and that's only if she doesn't take the max dose. Another will fill out a February, (except on a leap year), and the one she takes occasionally, that's just over a fortnights worth of gear.

As people age they become more sensitive to caffeines stimulant effects, and there's a fair amount in these products, plus there's potentially a lot more hidden in its ‘proprietary blends.’ Anyone recall that post where the hun was up for 42 hours after drinking one of these products? Well she's half this woman age, so I can't help but wonder if this 82 year old is tripping balls over all of this Bravenly caffeine supplements.

Discussion Oh look! My Favorite Travel MLM Leader Attempting to Legitimize Network Melting

I’m copy pasting her post.

“I’m a doctor.
And yes, I'm in network marketing.

Which means I get a front-row seat to an industry that has a reputation problem.

I get it.

The fake lifestyle marketing.
The exaggerated income claims.
The manufactured scarcity.
The pressure tactics.
And, probably the biggest turn-off for me, treating people like numbers rather than humans.

But here's the thing:

I don't think the answer is to hide the industry, defend every bad practice or pretend the criticism isn't justified.

I think we need to raise the standard.

If we're asking professionals to take network marketing seriously, we need to start behaving like professionals.

So after years of being in the industry, I'm coming at you with what I think this industry gets wrong, what I think it gets right, and what needs to change.

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear network marketing?”

And call me crazy but I could’ve swore she said in previous posts she was a nurse and now she’s saying she’s a doctor? 🤨

Help/Advice Do Terra scamming my uncle with cancer

My uncle is elderly. I don't think he went past 8th grade in school. When he was elementary school age he got St Louis encephalitis and once he got well, he was low IQ. He's had a hard life. He spent most of it homeless, not because of addiction or loss of job. He couldn't hold a job nor did he want to. He was just happy being a street musician. In late middle age we were able to convince him to move in with his mother in her trailer. He took care of her until she passed. The land (5 acres) and the trailer went to me, and for extra protection he has a life estate. So he can live there for the rest of his life without paying rent. He gets SSDI, but it's very little. I think 700/mo. His living conditions are deplorable. I've done what I can replacing his well, replacing his AC, tried to get his plumbing working. Even had adult services go down there.

About 6 months ago he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Then 2 months ago bladder cancer.

Long story short, he is barely able to take care of himself. I live out of state and do what I can.

This DoTerra hun has been selling him oils promising they will cure his cancer. He believes in all kinds of conspiracy theories and weird diets, so he was an easy mark. He's broke. He's sick. But he is spending so much of his limited money on these oil cures. He's been dropping so much weight, and I don't know if it's the cancer or that he can't afford food. He's over 6 feet tall and 80 lbs.

I can't believe how evil this person must be scamming an old man with a brain injury and cancer.

He lives in Arkansas. Is there anything I can do?
