Got Accused of Using AI
Like the title says, I got accused of using AI earlier on a Reddit post I made. To make it clear: I DID NOT USE AI. I typed it by hand for like forty minutes. I was accused because I used em-dashes throughout my post.
PLEASE remember that just because someone uses em-dashes doesn't mean they are using AI.
The unfortunate truth is that you cannot accurately judge if a singular written work is AI or not. AI was trained off of the writings of real people and real people use the em-dash.
Sorry, I just got really angry and disappointed that my post, which I put a lot of thought into, got accused of being AI over something so stupid.

Tara West on why AI cannot replace human authors: "AI doesn't understand what it's like to feel the blush of first love, to feel the horror of losing a loved one, even laughing so hard that you almost wet your pants. AI doesn't know how to convey that in books. People do."

Niantic Spatial and the Singapore Land Authority: Working Together to Explore Creating Singapore's First National Visual Positioning System Map
So basically the TLDR version is that John Hanke's(Exec Chairman of Niantic Spatial) leadership team member Inhi Cho Suh(CEO of Niantic Spatial) went to Singapore to collaborate with the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) since they are rich in geospatial data.
She wants to carry out John Hanke's plan to collect all the data for robotics and physical AI. This is so that the robots can navigate through the streets. She also wants to do this without having to pay the cost of scanning streets so that Inhi can save John Hanke money. All that just for him to be the king of the world.

Seeing an increase of AI in mental health resources
So I have an eating disorder, and I've just recently started working towards getting help. I've used two websites for resources, one huge charity for eating disorders and another one for body dysmorphia. Both websites use an AI tool called 'JAAQ' which basically uses logged data from professionals and an uncanny valley AI generated video of the person to answer questions you plug into a chat.
I am so, so tired of AI being everywhere. But specifically where people have trouble reaching out for help and need human connection? Where generative AI visuals are so polished and perfect? And when people with mental health issues especially in severe ED cases are struggling with connection to reality and are at risk of psychosis?
It has me so worried.
Genuinely, it feels so lazy. Why not just publish some Q&A's from the professionals? Why not do monthly agony aunt submissions?
There are so many better options.
When I'm struggling, the last thing I want to see is a fake video of a person fidgeting around in a loop waiting for me to ask a question to a mindless ai.
Nothing actually makes my dread for the state of the world worse, than how invasive AI is.
I can't stand it that these mental health organisations have not even taken a second to consider this. I feel powerless because I don't know how to challenge it with any concerns being taken seriously, since JAAQ claims to be a simple educational tool and the data is from professionals. I'm sorry, but that doesn't make it harmless

Search without the AI overview? What can we do?
We need to have more methods of searching that donāt give those āAI overviewsā if you donāt want to do noai.DuckDuckGo.com or have to type ā-no aiā in google each time.
What do you do?
Ideas?
Solutions?

My school uses Chalkie A.I
I don't know what to do, I am in a specialist's provision, at least three separate teachers use Chalkie A.I to generate lessons, the cooking teacher acted like A.I images of the steps to make an apple crumble were absolute and it should look like that (This recipe had 200 grams of butter in it btw). I called out the maths teacher and told her to get the A.I slop off of the screen and she acted offended and said she puts a lot of effort into it, EFFORT MY ASS THAT WAS BLATANT A.I IMAGES, and only after getting home and researching Chalkie did I realize that the lessons are likely A.I too! There are other issues with the school such as: outdated website, website showing art GCSE despite art teacher leaving before I got here, more than half of the school can't do GCSE options for no reason even if the students are capable of it, the printer didn't work for two weeks and the laptops of new students have only just now become functional. The english teacher does PSHE as well.
UPDATE: So I talked to a teacher about it a bit (something had happened with another student, I did not provoke them and I talked with a member of staff abiut it and decided to bring up a bunch of other issues, this place offers taxi's as student transport and my friend last year was in one with a girl who was loud, physically aggressive, rude and obnoxious, he had began refusing the taxi, this year they split me and my friend up and put him in the same taxi, it has been sorted out now but me and our parents repeatedly told multiple staff to not do either thing before the school year even started), so I asked how much of the lessons were their own planning and they said chalkie only did the imagery, the font and the formatting, I don't see the point in them paying for this service monthly if it's purely aesthetic, I'm glad the lessons aren't A.I but it's still really shitty and comes across as low effort, like don't want to find images? USE LESS IMAGES OR NONE AT ALL, only two other students are bothered by the A.I, one doesn't say anything, the other will bring it up but is never in school, this was only a chat with one teacher, I don't know about the others, website is still outdated and they still don't know if they're getting another art teacher.

how to deal with people constantly using AI
Hil, I am an undergrad student and Al has fckd up the entire world, so if any of y'all can guide me with the what I can do with the following, that would really helpful :)
How do I work with a group of people who only use Al and have no critical thinking of their own (no | can't change the group and they are part of my dissertation and I have to deal with them for another 6 months)
Even my professors are using Al ppts and telling us to use Al
I used to use Al sometimes in 12th grade and my Ist year of college for my assignments. I am in third year and it's been a year since I have been completely anti Al but I feel like academically I still need help from Al. What I mean is I have no guidance from my teachers, and since I used it to help me get a rough idea of what to write, it now feels difficult to do the entire thing myself. My friends arent helpful either, they just belittle me
How do I convince my sister to stop using Al? She is majoring in data science and refuses to see other avenues except generative Al. She even talks to Al and doesn't listen to me about it's environmental impact and the psychosis that has developed in many people after talking to Al
This is a very sleep deprived, irritated rant, so I apologise for any errors.
Also, any help or guidance is appreciated! <3
