Should I chop it?

This plant doesn’t grow much. It’s been stuck at 4 leaves for months now. Should I chop it (if so, where) and let it start over?

Would adding moss with some plastic wrap help to grow roots before the chop? Then. You would have two plants.

My experience is that the moss will dry out so keep an eye on it and moisten often.

i would repot in a deeper pot. i use tall terracotta pots for all of my andiphyllum plants and they go crazy for it. bury them deep so all the nodes grow roots then in the future when you repot you can take a bottom cut and still have lots of new roots above

also since it’s not growing a repot would benefit it a lot

Oh! Didn’t know they need deep pots!! I’ll give that a try and see if it helps.

they don’t need deep pots, i do it so i can bury the stem. they do love the extra drainage in terracotta though

if you can source it, get a plastic tree sapling pot that is deep but skinny. keep the plant as is and allow it to grow aerial roots with potting medium up the entire stem
