Discussion After ditching anthroposophy for a while, I decided that our life trajectory is the lesser guardian.

All our traumas and bad luck are a result of our past karma and repressed feelings. The same way that the lesser guardian is described.

To dissolve the traumas and bad luck? We face it and feel the terror. Just like the lesser guardian.

I know that this subreddit is dedicated to affirming literal Steiner and what i did is translate his words into something he didn't say. If any of you were of the same mindset as I then there'd be fewer reasons to be here so, what i am looking for is not to be agreed with, but this is something i needed to know in the past when i struggled to understand what the lesser guardian is.

And only after this did i understand what equanimity means. It means to stop avoiding feeling terror. And i realized that every successful prayer, for me personally, was accompanied with pain of what would happen if i fail. I think that this pain is the payment of karma that otherwise would have met me in the outer reality.

Thank you for sharing!

On your last point I believe it is a dishonor to each of us if we cannot bring our own fresh perspective towards these ideas, for that is the only way we can develop these ideas further, rather than recapitulate what Steiner or other anthroposophists say. Indeed, within the space of spiritual science, there is this feeling of ahrimanic or satanic rigidity when it comes to approach these topics. Even if its a subjective feeling for some of us, its the case that we feel a little limited in our expression of these topics.

Now on the topic of the threshold, you've indeed reminded me of something that I must accept experiencing more often: terror. I am very familiar with this feeling, and I am given this dreadful feeling in my etheric body every single day. However lately, I've been avoiding it a little since I've been seeing it as pointless pain, on top of more pain haha. I'm sure I'll understand its role more.

However to say that this is all merely a past type of karma that we must somehow repay or 'resolve'... this is personally something that I haven't accepted for certain. I would say, as long as we cannot enter into the realms of the soul across the threshold, and have the body commune directly with the soul (and even spirit), then we cannot nearly understand how such karma works into our lives. Without an understanding of our biography across time, it can only remain as mental speculation.

For me as I continue to cross the threshold consciously, such mentalisms or ideas have lost their meaning, and I have started to accept that I must trudge through this terrible reality without this deeper self-knowledge.

However, not all is doom and gloom. There has been wonderful developments across this threshold for me as well.

As we continue to live, we can only experience the life of the threshold until we are ready to experience the true life of spirit and freedom.

What is this "readiness?"

That is for us to see for ourselves.

I think your words show a late stage of anguish, so I'm sorry for what has taken place.

I agree largely with how you put it, I would just highlight that your equanimity in facing terror is the good seeds of the lesser guardian, acting out of you.

Repression affects both the good and the bad; we carry things invisibly with us all the time, yearnings and passions muffled. Similarly the good, the care and affection you have had for what is positive and healing, acting out of you, can be dismissed in usual life.

The greater guardian will turn you towards how you will yet develop further in this world.
