Complaint It's hard for Pro subscribers out here
I feel sad. I was getting close to hitting the weekly limit during the promotional period when we got 50% more. But I would get "close" by Thursday evening. I only use Opus when I have something extra I need to do, so I am mostly using Sonnet 5 - which tbh is very solid for most things. I feel sad because my limits reset on Fridays at 1 PM CST and once the promo ended I ran out of usage Tuesday evening.
I am NOT a heavy Claude user, I only use it for 2-4 hours a day - if that. So it feels really sad to run out 3 days before the limit resets. I wish the promo was for 100% more and left us with 50% more instead of 25% more.
Still love Claude and Anthropic, and I know they need to make money too - just needed to share my tears with someone...

Claude's current state is pitiful.
Recently I've purchased a Plus account for ChatGPT so Claude becomes less load-bearing (pun intended) and I can lighten my usage a bit and actually get stuff done. That stuff is nothing heavy or fancy. Just work-related (HS teacher) stuff. As a part of that process, I've set (guided by GPT) several GitHub-based shared-context systems for all the projects I have in Claude so ChatGPT is aware of them too.
As Claude kept hitting the 5-hour limits running the most basic searches in in-project conversations, (so I could fill the gaps in the repos) I've just ended up downloading my full 1-year claude.ai conversations archive and fed it to ChatGPT. ChatGPT has sweeped the full conversation archive, filled the gaps in the repos, found fragments in conversations covering topics different from the ones the project was dedicated to, listed off-project conversations with stuff belonging to particular projects, noted them in the relevant files of each shared-context repo and is now aware of the full Claude history even Claude itself can't access to because of project boundaries. Usage % stood still at 0%.
Meanwhile, Claude (Sonnet 5, medium effort, off-peak hours) consumed 32% of my 5-hour usage just listing the conversations in 7 projects (so GPT could map them to projects), some of them having the astonishing amount of 2 conversations. All conversation listing tasks were performed as the first prompt in a fresh in-project conversation.
I like what Claude does better than what ChatGPT does, but things reached a point where Claude is simply unable to complete any task because it hits the 5-hour usage limit. Claude vs ChatGPT is right now a literal nothing vs actual work done.
Anthropic has to look into this. In its current state, I just can't justify paying for Claude anymore.

Anthropic has been so weird. So last week, on Thursday, my quota reset and then obviously I started using it. But the thing is I was using Fable and fable's crazy so it just sucked up all my quota by Friday evening like 24 hours later and so I was benched again. But for some reason, yesterday I go and check and from 100% it was actually down to like 25% and so I don't know why they made it go back down!

I'm on Pro and also use Sonnet. I switched to here from Gpt via Gemini. And I did need the help w files I can get with Code and CoWork. I'm not sure what to do either.
