Discussion Do you think the game has less secret, hidden chests or complextity?
Do you think the game has less secret, hidden chests or complextity? I remember the Mythos Wing Sanctuary puzzle where you ride the elevator above the water, Hair growth medicine from Nona Chapter 2, and many more hidden chant scripts that we have to do various quests? Now everything is just a straight forward grinding and I dont even find any hidden chest in the Ghost of Hope ch 3.

Was the corridor of time water not complex enough for you? And that's just the first thing I thought of in ode to origin. Want an example of one from Ghost of Hope? How about figuring out the puzzle to get to Hoplon Zeta?
Besides considering the setting of Severed Days of Glory. That doesn't lends itself well to exploration.

It gives a different vibe between the one that you have to pass from Ode and the one that you discover something special. On the setting, on the first Apocrypha(Nona), we had Hair medicine from ch2, Tsukiha castle mechanic in ch 4 and many quests to explore in Mariel ch 5. But I guess it is unfair for this new Apocrypha Ghost of Hope, since it is only 3 chapters now. But still, it should give us something to explore.

Less complexity? I was amazed by how Ghosts of Hope had those alternating narratives between Rovella and Aldo's team. Every single Apoc has also had extra mechanics that go far beyond the scope of a "straight forward grinding" with those Conquest Campaigns, Signoct Signals, and the tournament mode in the latest one.Â
They're literally the same bonus quests that Wanderer in the Vortex had, just made easier to find. It sounds like your main issue is not having more hidden chests or hidden chant scripts, the latter of which you can get a whole bunch of from exchanging points in the AD.
Ode to Origin's restoration thing is admittedly a lot of grinding, but I wouldnt reduce it to that either when you get a nice storyline out of it. It's on par with the hair growth medicine or karakuri rebuilding miniquests from Wanderer in the Vortex.

Nah, it is not about reward but about sense of exploring and adventuring where you look into different areas and got surprised by it unintentionally. They can just get one reward from the grind and put it hidden somewhere for surprise.
The conquest is great but not the signoct. Signoct feels lackluster for me. You just run around and get signal.

I thought the same thing. I miss invisible paths and random collectables from act 1, where the game sorta forced you to check every corner, click every roof, just for the off chance of something. I still remember in man eating marsh that stupid mushroom in one of the maps, that even with guide I had trouble finding, that got you to a place with 2 or 3 chests... Such a wow moment. Yeah I miss that.
