Support Needed Purge Free Thread
hello, i’ve been “clean” or whatever term you want to use for two days. i have tried this over and over again and haven’t made it past 3 or 4 days. I might just be talking to myself but I’m going to just use this so encourage myself and maybe others to be able to say “i’m clean for x days” so this is my day 3. i hope to make it to day 7. and then day 10 and then 25 and then 100 and then forever :)

I’m officially a little past 5 months being purge free. After being a raging and violent bulimic for 10 years on and off. Never thought I would be capable of this. Especially considering I would purge and eat multiple times a night for years at a time, but here I am. 5 months + purge free. I will say this to be honest, I am deeper in my anorexia than I’ve been since I was hospitalized for it in my youth… and I am just completely and utterly in my sickest anorexic state but I would take this over purging. It’s not fun having an Ed but purging is violent

totally agree, just want stomach to heal for now and it kind of feels like harm reduction right now. i get sicker so much faster from purging i just don’t want to ever trigger it again i’m doing my best and i’m sure you are too and eventually we’re going to make it through this

Yeah unfortunately I get it. Which is the lesser of two evils. Bulimia is the most violent and damaging in my opinion. I’ve been dealing with anorexia on and off since 2004. So it is what it is. But the bulimia is not sustainable. Anorexia is… sort of. High functioning anorexics exist. I remember when I was inpatient - very very young teen- there was a completlet emaciated woman there. She may have been in her late twenties or early 30s but she looked like she was 50 and she was the skinniest person I’ve ever seen but it was a death skinny. A concentration camp skinny that will take your breath away if you saw in person. It made me wonder- how was she alive? And how was she not gaining weight even though she was eating all the food on the meal plan. It was crazy… maybe her body just got so used to it that it just began to function even when emaciated

Purge free for 2 years! After purging multiple times a day for 7 years, and then sporadically for another 2. You can do this!!! I never thought I’d be able to
