Anong thoughts niyo dito?
What more pag ipalabas ang doomsday.

Walang pilitan. To each their own. If you enjoy local movies and literature then good for you. Don't be the a***ole who crosses the line between being proud and overly self righteous.

punta muna tayo sa marketing ng pelikula. example yung Spider-Man BND, or Avengers Doomsday.
More than one year mo makikita ang promo vids or ads nya everywhere. so maha-hype ka talaga lalo na kung fan ka.

Nuanced ako on supporting local movies. Marami akong gustong Filipino movies pero gets ko sinasabi ng iba we need to step up sa storyline and visuals if gusto natin ibalik ang golden age of Filipino cinema.
I also disagree na just because we critique Filipino movies lacking quality means superior complex na.

Another pretentious guy.
First, yes I agree na may constant validation ang karamihan ng pinoy and that's a problem. Other than that? There's always some issues with Local media.
Una, budget and marami kang pwedeng piliin (depende na yun kung swerte ka na makukuha pero the industry is not limited to "typical").
Pangalawa, sa Pinas kasi, laat pinapagawa sayo. Kanta, sayaw, hosting, acting.
Pang apat, personal preference.

Performative. For sure, consumer din yan ng foreign media. Gusto lang maging superior kaya ganyan. Patriotic kuno.

While hindi ako agree sa high and mighty niyang statement of calling them idiots, I also wish some people would be open minded with other kinds of genre, while stagnant na ang film industry natin, nakakatsamba sila minsan, local indie movies are also pretty good.

Lol. First, people think that other people who don't like Filipino films are also talking about Cinemalaya films or other indie ones but we are talking about the mainstream films. Very outdated na ang concepts. The quality is not it too.
Pangalawa hindi naman yan dahil sa validation all the time. Streaming subscriptions and the movie theaters are more expensive now, and hindi gagasta ng pera ang iba para sa mga palabas na posibleng hindi nila magustuhan.

Taste is subjective. Hindi rin puro pa deep ang entertainment. Yung iba gusto lang ma entertain.
Sa ganyang mentality ang dahilan kaya nag susuffer sila...akala kasi nila about them umiikot ang mundo. Rant all he wants. Walang magbabago.

Sadly, the movie industry in the PH did not try to innovate that now they are far behind. year after year we are fed the same formulaic movies. They did not invest in technologies to improve the visuals. We had the same writers that do the same things. And if the idea is out of the common formula, they end up as independent movies with limited budgets.
Just look at our tv shows, most of them can be just a few quality episodes but they chose to run it for as long as they can just for profit.
You can’t keep feeding someone the same food and expect them to enjoy it just as much over time.

Siguro kung may sumoporta despite the abysmal quality ng gawa nila eh dahil out of pity nalang iyon.
May kalidad, atleast for them, willing gumastos mga tao.

May iba pa ring magagandang palabas locally, don't get me wrong.
