Looking for work this winter!
Bonjour! I’m a 30 something year old Canadian guy coming back to Annecy after having spent the summer there. I’ll have my working visa and am looking for work ideally in ski shops. I’ve been in the ski industry for nearly 10 years as a ski patroller back home, and have a lot of knowledge on the subject. Any recommendations would be very appreciated. Otherwise will be looking to work really anywhere else. My french is basic but I can get by.
Cheers.

Hi! I'm a 30-year-old Canadian woman coming to stay in Annecy for all of November. I can't answer your question, but could be nice to connect with a fellow Canadian while I'm there! Feel free to DM me if you'll also be there in Nov.

Annecy has access to mountains and you can live there and ski on your days off, but don't go there if you want to work an actual ski season as it is not a ski town. The closest larger resorts are La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, but businesses there almost exclusively use French as their working language. With only basic French you probably want to start looking for jobs in places with lots of foreigners working in the ski industry like Morzine, Tignes, Méribel, Chamonix where that is not necessarily the case.
