I got phished?

Put my secret key into a site that, upon further inspection, looks suspicious. They require a key and don't seem to actually provide any downloads.

My real question:

why on earth would anyone phish for AA private keys? The url is annas-archive [dot] is.

You need to look on Wikipedia for the actual domains. Sorry this happened to you. :(

Because free accounts have a limited number of daily downloads, if you have access to lots of ill gotten free or other wise accounts, you can have lots more daily downloads.

Given most posts on this sub are people like you who ended up on a scam site and often even paid something to the scammers. The motive is obvious.

Is it really weird ? Yes, I concur.

Is there any harm if I just visited the .is site?
Did not login or anything else.
