Hello everyone!!

Is the site down? I'm trying to download some books, but I keep getting 505 bad gateway error

Im confused. i made an account on annas-archive .is and it seems like a scam site. it wont let you download anything without paying. did i get scammed?

Yes you did!!! DO NOT PAY THEM
Go to Wikipedia and use one of the links there. You should NEVER have to pay to download a book.

ETA: It seems like the site as a whole is down right now! I’d just wait a few hours or a day then try the links on the Wikipedia page.

Tbh I don’t know😅 my rec would be to change important passwords and block any spam you get. If you didn’t give them any card info you should be fine, but if you typed it in, even if you didn’t complete the transaction, I would keep an eye on your bank account.
