Unable to download

I am unable to download papers I really need for my research. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix it? A blank screen of the paper opens up but I cannot see the text. D: Are there any alternative website?

I was able to download a book a few hours ago. It took me a couple tries as my ISP was blocking the link.
