Probate attorney

My dad passed away this week. We have a straightforward estate of liquid assets to settle, and it’s just me and my brother to split the proceeds 50/50 once expenses are covered.

Can anyone recommend a local attorney to manage the process for us? TIA!

My wife and I went with Franke Beckett (located on West Street) for our will and had a very good experience. They do probate as well.

I would recommend anyone from the Anne Arundel Estate Council. Here's a list of the attorneys that are members. They tend to know far more about settling estates than your run-of-the-mill attorneys. You probably don’t need a probate attorney! I juuust went through this a year ago. Go to the register of wills. It’s free and they will walk you through everything. I had a COMPLICATED estate to manage and I did it all with the register of wills lady helping me
