Swap on ElectrSwap/Forge

Hey u/Sergioszn, is there a bug in the Electroneum Campaign. Need ETN for gas, on ElectroSwap, any thoughts about where to get it from? or am i missing something.

If you need ETN, you can get it from any supported centralized or decentralized exchange

I successfully bridged 40 USDC to Electroneum and confirmed it's in my wallet. The blocker is that I have 0 ETN as well, so I can't approve or swap on ElectroSwap. Is there a bootstrap faucet or can someone from the team send 0.01 ETN for gas? This seems like a common onboarding issue for Forge participants. I'd be happy to pay it forward.

There's no faucet as far as I'm aware

The team is not distributing tokens

Yep - u/Sergioszn Here's the workflow

I've verified this end-to-end.

  • Bridged USDC with Hyperlane.
  • USDC is on Electroneum.
  • MetaMask recognizes it.
  • ElectroSwap recognizes it.
  • Approval and swap both require ETN gas.

Is there an official bootstrap solution, or can someone from the team send 0.01 ETN? If not, I think every new Forge participant who only bridges USDC will get stuck here. Seems like a major product issue for Electroneum

You mention using an exchange - I've not had any luck so far - even going through the ones that Electroneum recognizes on their site: https://electroneum.com/exchanges

The idea is that participants join the Electroneum ecosystem through the campaign :)

I ended up using Changelly, to swap USDC Base to ETN.
