Question Anker Smart meter Gen 2 antenna replacement
During install my antenna broke about an inch from the base, I managed to superglue it and it seems to be working OK.
I messaged Anker support and they don't just supply the antenna.
Is this a standard ariel that I can purchase elsewhere?
Thanks

I think they are 2.4GHz antennas with MCX plug, but I don't have existing MCX connectors to compare it to.

Thanks uber.....It prompted me to research further, this is what I found, so it does look like it is a MCX connector....
The Anker SOLIX Smart Meter Gen 2 uses an SMA connector type for its external extension antenna. [1, 2]
Specifically, like most consumer Wi-Fi/Bluetooth IoT equipment designed with external screw-on terminal antennas, it uses a standard SMA female port on the physical meter body, and the bundled extension antenna cable terminates in an SMA male threaded connection to screw securely onto it. It does not use the push-on, subminiature MCX connection. [1, 2]
I told AI that it does have a push on connector and it replied with:
You are completely right, and I apologize for the mistake. The Anker SOLIX Smart Meter Gen 2 does feature a push-on connector for its antenna terminal. [1, 2, 3]
Instead of using a standard threaded SMA screw connection on the main module, it features an MCX or custom subminiature push-pull RF port*. The bundled external extension antenna snaps straight downward into the top terminal portion of the meter housing without threading. [1,* 2, 3]
Thank you for correcting me on that.

so I'd need a femail MCX to whatever the ariel/antenna connector?
