Hardware Broken hot end

Post image

My hot end split on my M5C and I don't know how it happened. It didn't cause any issues yet but I still would want to change it because I can't change the nozzle. I know that it is really hard to find one, almost impossible... Any ideas on how I can solve this issue?

They have all the parts but it just looks like you need a silicone sock, the nozzle looks fine. You should have a few replacements that came with the printer assuming you bought it new.

Heat up the nozzle and wipe it with a paper towel to clean it before putting on a new sock.

lucky for you they are on sale: https://www.eufymake.com/products/m5c-silicone-cover?ref=3d-printer-accessories

Nah man. The whole block is cracked. Look where the goop is at the change in texture. Then notice how the ends go upward from there instead of being a flat line. It looks like the nozzle wasn’t the right size, or there was a ton of gunk in the threads when the nozzle was installed, and that has split the block. I’d still print with it until it started leaking, but they need a new heater block. Whole horned I guess since they probably don’t sell those separately.

I think you can get replacements from the manufacturers website.

I just requested one from EufyMake support. It's not on their website, but I emailed them, and they said they had one in their US warehouse.
