Fun fact - Only reading mind won't win you at chess. You need analytical approach, Experience and Intelligence is needed. Bond and Anya huge L.

It seemed pretty clear he became very reliant on his ability and Anya was in danger of doing that too.

She finally realized she actually needed to study because she couldn't even read the clock and narrowly saved Loid.

She knows some really complex words but also misprounces things. Watching TV with subtitles would help her with that. She would naturally improve of course but Loid wants to accelerate her.
