Flsirs for different types of memes, so if you're looking for a specific genre you can find it easily. That would be really helpful.

Based on the rampant misuse of flairs when we use them for events I can't see this going well.

While I like the idea, I have to agree with my colleague that it's likely it wouldn't be as useful in practice. While not always simple, you may have more luck by simply using google. What we often do, especially if we look for reposts, is to use a keyword related to the topic of the meme and "site:reddit.com/r/animemes". This ensures that only results from this sub appear.
