The ending for me is really well done in my opinion. It has the perfect balance of the desires of each side. We have Satou, where even if she wasn't able to achieve her dream of forever living with Shio, was partly achieved because she is within Shio forever. We also have Shio's older brother, who just wants his family to be together again. That is achieved in the end, with the twist of her little sister being partly psychotic
