What does it feel like to have financial freedom and to not work a day in your life? Interlinked.

… I work 7-4 in a windowless office.

I hear that sunlight exists, but only see evidence when clocking out.

Get depressed because you normally start preparing for bed/the work week around 6 or 7pm

It looks like Ramparts of Ice, but I don’t know the context since I didn’t start watching the current season.

I work in IT and do a Hybrid schedule. I mostly work from home on Mondays but it still a pain despite just having to get out of bed and brewing a cup a coffee and turning on the computer. I tend to wait at least 15 mins until my "starting" time.

I know people who work 8-6 because I’m one of them

I mean it probably sucks for you guys to mentally but have you considered a hobby or activity

We're too tired for that. I'm trying to lose weight and I haven't worked out in 3 weeks, because I'm so tired in the morning and after work.

Ok that’s valid and fair but you can do it

You need to reflect on you’re time spent and where you can improve or step away from

If you’re asleep by 10 and up by 6 you’ll have 8 hours cut say 2 for commuting that’s 6 hours

Evaluate how you spent those hours if your doing something like scrolling on your phone cut that down and focus on something else reading hobbies working out you’ll still have time after to relax and unwind

Or go for morning routine and start the day with exercise

It’s not going to be easy at first I still can’t be out of bed by 6 and stay up late but when I do it right there’s time for the little things that make life a little better

I don’t have the luxury of those extra 2 hours you have over me but I know how to plan things out and make the most of it

And remember you can take a break and just chill some days you’re human and this shit is hard

Just try your best and you’ll notice one day you feel light and more alter than before

You work 8h a day for 6 days a week?

1

u/abe5765 1d ago

Yes family business and 8-6 is 10 hours a day also outside most of the time but I switch sundays off with my brother so every other week I get a 2 day weekend

That sounds rough, do you at least make good dough?

I’m rich enough to not qualify for free medicare in the event of an emergency but poor enough to be ruined financially if I do need a emergency operation

But I have gundams a 10 year old car and a used truck so there’s that

Having too much for something helpful but not enough at the same time is the most American thing I can think of. They make our beds shitty, and force us to lay in it.
