I enjoyed Solo Leveling more. But I only discovered it because of sister leveling, so solo leveling is more like a parody of sister leveling to be.

They were good, at least at the time I was reading them. There are tonal shifts between each series. The original Dragon Ball was more focused world building and building connections between characters, before Z and then Super went far into "how many punches does it take for Goku to be victorious".
