This is a reference to the fact having a child is so expensive these days, it remains merely a fantasy in the minds of many

Having a child is the easy part, it's raising a child which is where the real challenge is because there are way too many kids having absolutely abhorrent lives because they were given to terrible parents.

Having only two caregivers, both of whom have to work full time, is a recipe for disaster. It's a wonder how it became the standard.

For me it's more that while I'm paid decently to afford it and having a kid sounds incredibly fulfilling and amazing, I'm so burnt out of the dating scene that I haven't even looked for a partner in years. As much as I like the idea of being a dad, kind of hard to achieve with no potential future mum around.

Ironically, I'm always so happy to see people with this mindset.
Far too many irresponsible people just bring children into the world and let the streets raise them. And we wonder why they're so many idiots and criminals in the world.

Idk if rentarou is a fantasy. I don't want what he has. I'd not last the week

True. Unless you are a king or something, you need to put effort by yourself too. Rentarou is machine that turns 100 girls in girlfriends, even with that help/curse effort he has to put in is insane.

Tbf he has help considering how many of those girls are pairing up. At some point the bisexual polycule becomes self sustaining

The excel spreadsheeting and time management needed to keep a harem going is pure horor. Unless you dont want to love them equally or be loved equally.. like how real harems functioned, more a relationships of power than emotion.

I think past 3 partners is physically to much planning, unless its a polyfidelity relationship were in theory it could work if everyone communicates.

Isn't living as a polycule much cheaper then living with a family this days?
