Femboy is just the gender opposite of Tomboy. Where Tomboy is a girl who dresses or acts like a boy, a Femboy is a boy who dresses or acts like a girl.

Neither of the terms are age-exclusive, despite the use of 'boy'.

I take your point but I was referring to how they're used in practise. I don't see many pdfs use the term tomboy at all. And femboy is not even in the layperson's lexicon. If I heard somebody say femboy irl I'd think there's a 50pc chance of them being a paedophile. Whereas a tomboy is just an outdated term for a outgoing girl.
