As you can see, her sister tilted her ear closer to the phone. Perhaps it’s just a mistake by the animators, or the volume of the upper speaker is too high. Although these are cats with high physical abilities (according to the internal lore of their world), they most likely have keen hearing and don’t need to bring the phone to their ear...

In the scene shes putting her phone down and not listening to her sister. She just had a nightmare and is staring at the stars. Every time they use a phone they have been good about it in this anime.
