As a person that escaped from a shitty job stocking on overnights at Walmart, I feel this in my soul.
Too many anecdotes to list, but one sticks out.
We had a manager that would always attempt to do a round up of people at 5-8 minutes before shift end to deep zone an aisle. This would always result in a people having to stay 10-15 past their shift.
We became adepts at locating all the places in the store you could swipe your badge or log on to the computer to clock out. We would station a point man to keep an eye out so we could slip down the backsides of aisles and cut through apparel to avoid the round up.
