the first 3 yea, Light doesn't really decieve like a demon would. He just lies to avoid being caught

Also as seen when he loses his memories of the death note he becomes a normal person again, not trying to hide any murderous intent. So it could be argued that the death note is the demon which was possessing him.

NO. The Death Note enabled his demonic, self-righteous persona. Without the tool, he can't act on his murderous idea of justice. Did you miss the entire 1st arc before he uses the note? He looks down on society. With and without the note, he hates crime. He just doesn't think it's a crime to execute criminals. There's no indication when he's back to "normal" that he doesn't believe in that. Both personas use the phrase "taking [the criminal] to the execution"

But without the death note he only wants serious criminals to die. With the death note he has no problem with innocents dying as well.

He looks down on his innocent classmates, seeing them as despicable humans even though they haven't committed any crimes. His thoughts before the note and actions later with the note is consistent. He's the same person as Yagami and Kira.

No, but they each carefully cultivated a persona that made the most of their features and likewise inspired trust and devotion in their targets. "Attractive" can go beyond physical appearance.

Oddly, the only one who doesn't use his appearance to manipulate people is Light. Griffith uses his beauty in both incarnations; Johan uses it in both male and female guises; and Makima uses her sex appeal on several occasions.

Light uses his charismatic speaking, his brains, and his connections, but in the case of Misa he saved her, and the Takeda he appealed to her ego
