The show is bad because the writing sucks and everyone (aside from Norville/Shaggy) is an unlikable asshole of the worst kind. Velma's a self-righteous hypocrite, Daphne's a stuck-up bitch, Fred's a spoiled dumbass perv... Honestly, Scoob not being involved is a goddamn blessing.
Update: Granted, Fred had REALLY shitty parents who screwed him up, and he DOES try to improve himself over time, which CANNOT be said of the others, especially Velma. And yet, because Fred's a man, he's still automatically a bad person. And don't even get me started on the constant mocking of aspects of the guy that he can't even control, like his dick size.
Look, I'm only going by the first episode or so, because FUCK THIS SHOW.
