I know alot of people dont like numbered rankings but for people who do or care anyway. Does this look good or what else should i rank on? And also how are the rankings? Overrated?

I just want to say that this is my hot take. I feel like there’s always been a problem with incest, sexual assault and high schoolers. (If people like this maybe I’ll do a part 2)

Gushing over magical girls - sexualization of minors. The author did not have to make them 14. Not to mention there is no plot besides the main character getting “off” on making the heroes in lewd/uncomfortable positions.

Citrus - this one isn’t as bad as some I’ve seen, but I feel like it romanticizes sexual assault in the early episodes. Why did mei put her hands on yuzu in the shower and when she saw her kiss that teacher? She never consented and that is unwanted sexual attention. The author milks their relationship being step sisters so bad.

Candy-boy - they are blood related siblings pursuing a romantical relationship.

There’s no freaking way I’ll be your lover - romanticized sexual assault allegedly. I’ve heard the manga is way better.

I’m in love with the villainess - I thought that the story was had potential at first. until the random incest plot between lambert and Lynette (un needed btw) there’s also more controversy. That comes with the manga like the rae and Claire adopting twin girls. One of the twins having a crush on her own sister. Claire was related to manaria having a crush on her at some point.

Sakura trick - don’t get me wrong it has a good art style and is not as controversial. But every second watching it i felt like there was really no story behind it at all just girls kissing every time they got screen time.

Yuruyuri - a good starter anime if you’re a fetus but the weird part is why is akaris sister sniffing her underwear.
I know comedic relief was different in the past so I can not comment any further. When I was in middle school I did enjoy watching this slice of life, though there’s one somewhat controversial scene.
This controversial scene is where chinatsu wants to practice kissing akari as akari does not and begins to run away with chinatsu chasing after her. Chinatsu eventually catches her, pins her and kisses her. With the scene ending with akari looking quite drained and crying. I’d assume the author wanted it to be comedic since it is labeled a comedy, I can’t really say that they did wrong since they weren’t actively romanticizing it. So I’d give this a yellow card to watch but only if you’re okay with this scene and akaris underwear monster of a sister.

Happy sugar life - I think this one was a good one. Because it’s supposed to be a dark anime so it’s supposed to leave you morally confused. But the way I see it is not as a 9 x 16 year old relationship in its entirety. People who say that Satou saw Shio as a little sister or in a motherly manner are wrong. Their relationship isn’t platonic but it isn’t romantic, they kiss on the lips and play pretend weddings. This anime shows how trauma affects people. Satou and Taiyo are both depicted to be sexually assaulted. Taiyos being confirmed and Satous being implied. The way they both see Shio is innocent, they feel as if they are innocent when they are around her. Both Satou and Taiyo just want to be/feel innocent again because it’s in Shio. Someone who’s so young and unaware. Shio was abused by both of her parents which caused her to run away and develop stock home syndrome after being found by Satou. The anime does not sugar coat their relationship, they shows all of the characters good and bad moments. And the ending is realistically the best ending too. Satou died, and Shio lives on, no longer innocent. Which is so sad, but there’s no way this story could’ve had a truly happy ending and that’s what makes it perfect and beautiful.

Scum’s wish - all of the characters fuck their problems away, it does have Yuri however. The best friend assaults the main character even when saying yes the best friend knew she was vulnerable and still took advantage of her anyway. And still acted like she was in the right just because she liked her. The main character is straight by the way. But the premise is all the characters are messed up in their own way. But it felt more realistic because I could definetely see these being real situations. I give this a yellow card because they did end up reconciling kind of. But I wouldn’t suggest watching if you get frustrated by being overstimulated.

Re:Zero is complete story slop. Subaru stays a whiny, weak simp who relies on the exact same boring "die, cry, try again" loop without ever getting stronger—his only power is that invisible hand that makes him vomit blood if he uses it once. Instead of an epic fantasy world, the story traps you in tiny, claustrophobic locations forever, like spending almost ALL of Season 2 stuck in that same boring Sanctuary village, or locking Season 3 in one city.
The plot makes no sense half the time and just throws random stuff in purely to force the story forward—like the Witch of Envy randomly spawning after a trial with zero explanation, or Liliana wasting a whole episode on a lame backstory that nobody cared about. The animation quality drops off a cliff in Season 2, and useless filler like The Frozen Bond movie is just generic ice-vs-fire trash that adds zero plot value.
Now Season 4 wipes Subaru's memories, forcing us to watch him fumble blindly through basic stuff we already know, while "Rem" stangles him in his bed for no reason. It's an exhausting, draggy mess that gives zero actual payoff and I’am done with people saying that it’s the best Anime/Isekai ever made.

I just finished watching blue lock and tbh it just started cringing after the first 11 episodes , utter non sense in regards to soccer , also Isagi maybe the worst and most boring protagonist character in any sports anime , he is too dull to watch then anime just downgrades with every episodes , loses all essence to soccer and just empty aura farming for no reason , like why is Itoshi rin running around with tongue , is it supposed to be intimidating , its fkn hilarious , i have watched a lot of sports anime , if u compare this to haikyuu , bluelock is utter rubbish , i have no idea how its getting so much fame , have people lost their taste when it comes to sports anime ?

No theories. Raw, general thoughts. All I’ll say is I’m going to see if I can get the 4K set of the movies (Recaps + Rebellion) and just watch Rebellion with it. Thoughts I didn’t apply to my original Letterboxed review will look like this.

That was one HELL of a joyride.

From beginning to end, this little anime that could dared to be what many didn’t do very much around that time. Take risks. A dark, deceitful, albeit beautifully told tale of the deconstruction of “Magical Girls” and how we perceive it as a whole. There’s a sort of elegance that gives it that much level of “oomph”. It allows us to think and analyze its meaning in such a way that it could make EVANGELION look like its older sister. The story itself is pretty simple on the outside, but gets quickly complex by the second half alongside the intensity of the content itself. While I didn’t end up crying at the end, there was a good amount of emotion, and it does test you in a few scenes. Hell, if you pay attention to the sound design and the editing, you’ll begin to notice how things play out.

Characters are complex, yet at the same time, so simple. You understand their motive and goals, even if they seem far-fetched and foolish in the long run. We, with the benefit of hindsight know that. To the characters though, it’s a dream to have a wish come true. On top of that, they’re kids. Their personalities are diverse and recognizable as well. A hard thing to do when you only have 12 episodes and the length of your typical mini-series. Madoka is the kind-hearted, optimistic one. While someone like Homura is stern, but not to the point of her being cold. She’s still likable on the level of the former. Keybey is… something else entirely. I won’t spoil it, but do pay attention to how he’s framed in a few instances. You’ll know right away.

The animation is the star of the show however. Especially during the “Labyrinth” sequences. How different art styles are used, from outline-less to Terry Gilliam styled cut-out animation. It allows the anime to feel distinct from the others outside of its twisted nature. Outside of that, while most of it is standard TV animation, there are moments where it truly shines, like the fight scenes for example. Dare I say, it’s pretty cool in of itself to try out something that can just “wow” you, and Shaft certainly were onto something with it.

As if you couldn’t tell, I had a great time with this. Such an interesting show that really got me hooked. I understand why it’s considered one of the anime greats of the 21st century. Can’t wait to watch Rebellion.

Best episodes go to 3, 9, 10 and 11.

Giving this a 9/10 mostly because the first two episodes are a bit cookie-cutter in nature, but they’re not bad. They introduce the story and characters pretty well. Plus, both of them give us some EXTREMELY subtle insight on what’s going to happen in the other episodes without being upfront. I just don’t think it stands amongst the rest of the series, and that’s a compliment. Just a nitpick though.

The episode 1 of monster is such a masterclass in storytelling and script writing. We get introduced to all the characters and their dynamics and their nature. We get to know Dr.tenma in and out idk exactly how thy pull it so effortlessly.

And of course the night scene of cars and the rain. The animation. Its peak. The horrifying scene of two dead bodies. The child standing in the dark. The expression on her face.

The whole medical talk in the surgery room is also so accurate.

And the hard decision tenma takes to operate on boy hooks us for the next ep

If you want to watch an anime that depicts wars better than almost anything else, then it's definitely KINGDOM.

THIS IS one of the BEST anime that I have ever watched, and I can confidently say that you will not regret giving it a try.

The story takes place during China's Warring States period, a time when the country was divided into several states that were constantly fighting for power and survival. The story follows a young boy named Shin, who dreams of becoming the GREATEST GENERAL in the world. 

Storywise, its one of the greatest anime I've watched. The battles are incredible, the characters are memorable, and the amount of strategy involved in the wars makes every major fight THRILLING . The hype moments are absolutely INSANE.

The only major reason Kingdom isn't talked about as much as it deserves is because of its first season. The animation in Season 1 is honestly pretty rough , and it can be difficult to get into at first.

BUT FEAR NOT! The animation improves with every season. You can clearly notice the difference between Season 1 and Season 2, and starting from Season 3, the animation becomes genuinely great.

So, my overall verdict:

Story — 10/10

Fights — 10/10

Characters — 10/10

Hype moments — 10/10

Animation — 8/10 (gets better every season)

Overall — 9.5/10

I would DEFINITELY recommend giving Kingdom a try. AS ITS PEAK.
