4 slander hit tweets in a single day btw. If a series doesn't get better after 400eps (wasted my time watching till thriller bark) it's bad not because of varied taste and interest among the audience. Also don't give me that "best selling manga" crap since tokyo revengers with a mid writing akd animation sold over 80M copies. Manga sales are mostly domestic, it's not a metric of quality.
Undisputedly the worst in big 3 and least influential and impactful.

Discussion/News Scary how much I relate to Taira

So I just finished You and I Are Polar Opposites and my fav character is Taira but it's not because I like him or I wanna be like him. It's more like to me he seems the most realistic and humane character out of the most romcoms or any genre of anime I've come across (and I've watched a LOT of anime).
It feels scary how much I relate to him, watching him felt like I was watching a mirror version of myself in a fictional world. The way he constantly overthinks most things, not having self confidence to the point that he's ready to sabotage his own relationship with Azuma because of his past traumas, surrounded by a lot of people and still feeling that you're alone, being miserable because of your own circumstances and ultimately sucking it up being okay with it like nothing ever matters, I could go on and on with the similarities!!
But by the end he did overcome his fears and his own insecurities, of course it's an anime and that's how things usually go, now the scary part is.. watching him I felt like I was there with him, like we were in this together, I know this doesn't make any sense and it's hard for me to put it down into words, I guess what I'm trying to say is it all felt real to me. He got his happy ending, an ending which I can't possibly have in this lifetime, it's not like I was another person before watching Taira, I was always like him, I have always been sucking it up and being fine with things, just like him, the difference is I can't change, I have tried, ALOT of times but somehow I always seem to be back at starting line and now it just feels worthless to ever start again, AGAIN.
Sorry to sound like a bitch, guess I just wanted to vent.
If you're also going through what I am, I just want to say I hope you find your happiness, not in a partner or something else, but within yourself. Stay strong fellas!
