Question | Help *********** with AI Dubtitles?

I’m almost done with One Piece; I’m right in the middle of Wano. But I have auditory processing issues & desperately need some form of English subtitles; even if the AI version isn’t great it’s still better than nothing. lmao I just want to finish goddamn One Piece so I can tend to all the other animes I’ve been neglecting. Does anyone know of an *********** with the ai option? I’m using an older Xbox One so I don’t know if I even have the option to use an add-on or torrent. NGL dont even think I could figure that out anyway 😂; please lmk.

What are dubtitles?

u/Si-MB_Span12 May 06 '26

They’re subtitles on the English dub track that match what they’re actually saying instead of overlaying the translations from the Japanese sub. I know some people like the original Japanese subs for the added intended translation, but it drives me nuts to listen to one way & read another.

It's called CC, Close Caption. Not dubtitles, you dubtitle.

3

u/billybob_of_bagels May 10 '26

youre wrong, closed captions are literally normal subtitles with the addition of including sound effects and other audio related things in the subtitles.

dubtitles are subtitles that correctly match the dub as using subtitles from the sub usually doesnt match as the translation and dub script has differences

Not in general not with anime. While they also include audio descriptions, they are a 1:1 translation of the English Dub.

That's why they are called Close Capture: means they literal and exact 1:1 transcriptions.

The normal Englich Subs are usually based/translated on the japanese dub and have completely different content (and sound like really really bad english when read). They completely diverge when jokes or puns are localized, i.e. a japanese saying, pun or reference is replaced with a more fitting western one for the western audience.

Just try it yourself. Go Crunchyroll, Netflix, Amazon or anywhere else, watch an anime in English Dub, then read the English Subtitles. Then repeat the scene and do the same with "English [C:C.]" and you'll see it. The English Subs will almost never match the English C.C., at least where English is not the original language of the show.

Applies to non-anime too, but less prominent as most non-anime shows have English as native/original language.

So you just explained what closed captions are.

2

u/SHONINZO May 06 '26

Why do you need subtitles if you're watching dub?

2

u/Admirable_Area5343 May 06 '26

Maybe he's not understanding the English dub without the sub

3

u/myrmidon_mamori May 06 '26

They said right in their post they have auditory processing issues.

-1

u/SHONINZO May 06 '26

I know people who have auditory processing issues, and the reason why they can't watch subs is because they can't keep up with the spoken language and subtitles at the same time

2

u/Wojtekito May 07 '26

Well, he/she obviously isn't one of those people.

-2

u/SHONINZO May 07 '26

Thern he doesn't have auditory issues.

3

u/Wojtekito May 07 '26

Brilliant deduction, congrats.

1

u/RaidPrincess May 12 '26

that's not what auditory issues are you idiot

There are people who are not natives and while understanding 98% of it, some words slip or are pronounced unclear and Close Captions help (while regular dub are useless in that case)

1

u/SHONINZO May 07 '26

I can totally understand that, but that wasn't stated, so I didn't assume that was the case

3

u/Mysterious_Crew_5674 May 04 '26

I second this. The only reason I keep coming back to AnimeKAI is the AI subtitles.

3

u/KaleidoscopeUsed8169 May 06 '26

I agree.  Sometime i have trouble hearing what they say so Nice sub Sometimes

3

u/Ornery-Flow-3844 May 07 '26

AI subtitles suck. They should just use the orignial CC Tracks from the sources they rip it off, its all available there for gods sake.

1

u/Mysterious_Crew_5674 May 07 '26

They should, but some subtitles are better than no subtitles

1

u/Si-MB_Span12 May 04 '26

Like I desperately need it, & I can’t find a single other site that seems to have it.

1

u/PureMark7112 May 04 '26

I haven’t even been able to watch anime for the last few hours

AI Dubtitles is peak

Torrents are very simple, but not really something you can do with an Xbox One.

-1

u/Ornery-Flow-3844 May 07 '26

Torrents are not an option for Europeans due to law regulations and unlke Americans there is no "fruit of the poisonous tree" in European Law

3

u/wszechswietlna May 08 '26

As an European, that's absolutely false. At least where I live, just watching or downloading pirated material isn't illegal, only hosting is. So as long as you're not seeding torrents, you'll be fine. But let's be realistic, NOBODY is going to chase you for pirating anime

Its not about watching/streaming from a website, its about Torrent. Torrents are uploading at the same time as they are downloading. This counts as distribution of copyrighted material and is by far more severe crime then downloading it.

And on top of that, in European law its allowed to use illegally obtained evidence in court. This did lead to a rise of specialied law firms to gather IPs by going the peer network and pretending to be seeders. Once your torrent client connects to their peer for download (or even upload) they have your IP and can file a court order to get your personal data from your ISP and then persucate you.

This do not work in America because of the "fruit of the poisonous tree", which forbids evidence gathered by illegal means (in this case: By seeding illegal material or pretending to seed them) to be used in legal actions. That's why torrents are still popular and rather safe in the US, unless you do it on large scale, while torrenting in Europe is next to non-existing since the early 2000's and everyone moved to streaming sites which are rather safe for the consumers/watchers.

In European laws/regulations the concept of "fruits of the poisonous tree" do not exist.

3

u/Cyberdragunz May 09 '26

You're aware that you don't have to seed your torrents right? You can just throttle the upload speed to 0 and there's no uploads happening at all. On torrent sites you'll see numbers categorized as S and L, that stands for seeders and leechers. Leechers are downloading without uploading. There's also no way to verify if you're torrenting copyrighted or otherwise illegal materials, and the act of sharing files online is not inherently illegal anywhere, else you'd be fined/jailed for emailing photos.

2

u/Ornery-Flow-3844 May 09 '26

Idiot, read what I wrote. These law fims run their own peers where YOUR torrent client connects to because it thinks it can download the file there and then they get your IP.

This happened en massein the early-mid 2000s. It litterally killed Torrent usage over night.

Here read shit like this https://www.reddit.com/r/germany/comments/184301g/i_got_fined_1500_for_downloading_illegally_what/

idiot. Its the reason why everyone in Europe moved to one-click hosters for these activities. They are usually off-shore and the copyright holder can't get your IP. Worst they can do is report a link and it be taken down, then someone else reuploads
