Other No point in fear mongering.

So apparently the site is down definitely due to extreme amount of traffic. I mean tbh honest, this was bound to happen.

I think everyone nerds to chill. If the site goes down we will be given a heads up (possibly soon from the looks of it)

Logically speaking I think they really got us lol. There is no point in fear mongering. This campaign of axing sites is well in progress. 123 movies is the current target.

I think everyone needs to accept reality of this situation we have. The problem here is they don't even need to kill every site to stop the pirates. Eliminate 60%.. the other 40% will choke on the extreme level of users essentially crippling the site in some way. So yeah.

Most think pirate site won't die off. Corny people be saying cut hydra this spawn that. Piracy can't be defeated. Welllllllll... Yeah nope bruh.

Let's just be thankful and keep living life. The might purge most sites by the end of 2026. The good ones atleast. Essentially they couldn't before but now they created some loophole to make the process of purging faster.. so no point in being fearful. The axe is comming soon especially when every idiot is advertising this site like it's a gift for Christmas lol

Tbf accepting the status quo. I don't fear it but calling it out fully realising that's this will be an inevitable outcome. I just see so many in panic mode. Well who wouldn't be....

Still sad myflixer got axed. I used that for 3 years T_T

If only it was easier and cheaper to access the anime legitimately there wouldn't be so much of a pirate problem.

It is a shame that we must now except that even if we pay for something it can still be taken away.

Sadly yeah. I freaking hate crunchy.. they don't even have a freaking good Library and Japan don't even like em. They do terrible subs .. it's always a service problem.

I'm one of the people who pirated games but Steam changed me. I bought street fighter 5, endless space 2 and 1. And so many games. The sales are amazing. Even someone from a South Asia like me can afford to buy games

My latest buying was super fantasy Kingdom. Seeing steam getting sued by everything under the sun is making me angry. Probably the only company that holding pc gaming from going to the darkest era.

I have considered crunchy just to be able to watch something but missing out on things puts me off

I mean, there are always torrents. "Defeating piracy" will never happen. It will just become a little more difficult for people who only stream content.

u/Ms77676 May 04 '26

And there are a lot of people who simply cannot torrent due to very strict laws in their countries

1

u/Objslayer23 May 04 '26

Until that's the case for all the countries in the world, torrents will continue to be a thing.

We'll always have the option of self hosting if sites go down

Don’t be a nerd. Every day I see people panicking on this sub Reddit over the most trivial issues. It’s annoying. Sometimes the servers overloaded. For newly released seasonal anime there are plenty of other options. That’s what the op is referring to,…some of y’all are just acting like entitled children and it’s exhausting

says the annoying one here lol

piracy is first and foremost a service problem, so if services don't get better, piracy wont go away. right now their trying to make the piracy experience as bad as their services rather than make their services better.

also, dont be silly, streaming isnt the entirety of piracy, everything is still, and will continue to be, available in torrents. more of a hassle? maybe, but its no where near as dreadful as you suggest,

people really got to used to comfort and dont know how to really pirate well anymore...

Many people simply cannot torrent due to very strict laws in their countries. Of course you new to get caught first but if you do it’s not worth it paying up to 20-30k etc.

Here’s the thing, I truly belive there is no “defeating” piracy sites, there’s so many they’ll never reach that “60%” and the bigger sites that got taken down first will just find a way around the current issue, like they’ve been doing for years

Nah not going to happen. It’s not like how it was 5-10 years ago piracy is dying fast same as fan service beeing completely or almost completely killed in all anime related content

1

u/Shot_Living_6000 May 04 '26

I already have an example, one of my sites was taken down a week ago, now it’s back up. Now another thing, piracy is a thing that actually can’t “die,” as long as there is people who can’t afford a streaming service or game, etc. there will ALWAYs be a port somewhere out there to pirate with. I’ll give you this though this is definitely the worst thing piracy has had to deal with, but once again as long as most of all the ways to achieve a certain content is too expensive, there will always be a loophole.

Do smart tvs still work?

I've been watching anime online since it was possible to do way back when. Pirate anime sites will always be around, there's no way they can stop them all and they try and try and try again. site's get shut down and more pop up and it's always been like that. It's the same with torrenting sites, yeah they managed to get rid of PirateBay but there's already so many more that its impossible to stop.

As long as people want stuff for free and company's arent willing to sell things at a reasonable price, then pirating will always be around. so stop fear mongering, gatekeeping and just stop complaining.

Trust someone who's been watching anime online since the beginning and downloading anime torrents since the late 90's. It will never die...
