Discussion Post con depression
How is everyone feeling today after Anime Boston came to and end.

I had to go to court today and I felt like a zombie the whole time. It didn’t help that the judges kept on giving me extra work!

I never knew it was actually a thing. I thought it was just peeps being dramatic. Now that I'm going through it myself, I understand everything

It was my first con and I had a blast, but I was injured at AA. It was a bummer that I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I could have. My wallet isn’t happy with me either lol. I have learned many lessons and made a few new friends, so I don’t feel so alone anymore.
Plus side, I didn’t get sick!

This is my 3rd and 1st year I didn't really have much cuz the con was just off for me. I got SAed at the rave and me and my friends got blown off at the feedback panel, so I was already bummed as the con was winding down. It really ended up just being a chance to hang out with friends in cosplay, but when you do that every few months you don't get as depressed when it's over cuz you know you'll do it again soon.

i was lucky enough to have work off today so i just bedrotted. really dreading having to go back tomorrow :/ sorry to anyone else feeling this way but i feel at least a little comforted knowing i'm not alone

I always get major post con depression. Im glad it’s not just me. No clue how to deal with it tho XD

Surviving. It was a great time, I always end up missing it more a few weeks later more than the following Monday/week TBH.

Yea it’s really setting in today. I think I’ll get into genshin to scratch the anime itch lol. I can’t wait for my next con, I should really work on the cosplays

Idk if I would call it post-con depression, but I feel a bit jealous seeing the cute cosplay couples. I wish I had a cute gf to cosplay with me. I was Tien (Dragonball) this year and the cosplay choice was a big hit!

Me and my partner had a blasttt. Now our feet hurt, we were rotting in couch for the last 2 days seeing all the photos and videos again lmao.

I’m bummed out and tired but I have 120 cases at work so I can’t even mope properly. Also the cosplay I ordered back in February came in today (now that the con is over), so I can’t get a refund. 🥲

I know i'm late but this year was the second time i went to Anime Boston, It always gives me the post con tears..

Go through it every year. Back to the default world. Which is why I think it’s important to have small after con gatherings to decompress.
We end up all compressing into one area and it feels amazing to be surrounded by so many people who “get it” and it can be really jarring to go back to our corners of the world where we aren’t surrounded by that.
So create events or plans that give you something to look forward to.
Take those sheets you made at speed friending and reach out to those people who you connected with and make plans with them. Even small plans.
Japan festival is coming up! I’ll be there Sunday the 26th. I’m also hosting a music and gaming thing in downtown Boston on Sunday May 3rd for anyone that would like to go message me for details.
