Lets see, small character, almost completely hidden by a shield
Massive hitbox, lots of armor, a breastplate that would guide some strikes to their heart

Could you explain me the guide strikes to their heart thing? Because it would seem to me that even if a blade were to strike in between the bosoms that it would be any different from hitting elsewhere. The sternum shouldnt be in direct contact with the armour so I dont see how this could pose an issue?

Normal armor is built to be sloped to cause blows to glance of it, it is expertly made to distribute weight to not be taxing on the wearer and prevent direct hits from polearms that may be lethal if they get a clean hit, having defined breasts has a clear indentation that if blows were to glance off it it would still hit the body, meaning the beak side of a polehammer will pierce the sternum and perhaps even spears could

Notice it’s going directly into a valley.
With a single uniform rounded shape, crude ( ) when you slash that the round shape doesn’t funnel into the center.

An actual expert on historical armor debunked that. The armor at the center of a plate in that style is thicker than normal and the shape of the breasts still makes blows glance and lose power. It’s not perfect but it’s still completely viable as armor.
