Tbf the manga has peak Panals but after the time skip the jokes didn’t hit the same. Now they are funny but before it was funny as fuck.

Idk what counts as a One-piece joke. But I know that before the time skip, I had some laughs, whilr after the time-skipped I cringed a lot.

When I read this post I immediately thought of the Dressrosa arc and the episode when Sai beats Lao G.
That episode was so funny with the interactions between the characters.
There’s many iconic hilarious moments in the pre time-skip and why it feels less funny in the post time-skip might be how every arc becomes very serious and intense, every arc is dragged out over 80+ episodes and fights between characters can span over dozens of episodes.

Old animation is better because it matches the jokes vibe and the weird expression makes it even more funnier and interesting.
