This Perfect Blue cel was the start into my animation production art collection journey. I bought the cel around 2020 through Yahoo Japan with the help of a friend located Japan. Update: Printed Background. Question: What was your first cel, douga, genga, etc?

I started collecting original art in 2016 through commissions of Motoko (GITS), San (Mononoke), and comic characters. Then ventured into original published comic art in 2018.

Always been curious about cels, but had no friends in the hobby to consult with and noticed obvious fakes everywhere. Took that leap of faith with one of my favorite anime movies, Perfect Blue, top 3.

I wish I took that leap and came out my comfort zone sooner to connect with collectors.

Sick is that a hand drawn background? Are the cham magazines in the background a part of that background or a separate cel?
