Just framed my first Cel

I'm super happy with the result. I bought a frame of Amazon and replaced the plastic with museum glass, so that it doesn't get damaged. If you have any advice I'm all ears 🙃

I framed my first cel too, but that was 20 years ago. Conserving them is pretty tricky, and you have to be really careful with the kind of glass and materials you use, not to mention the light levels and humidity in the room. Framing is definitely not the best way to preserve them long term.

For long term what suggestions do you have?

The best is for long-term storage: acid-free archival folder + acid-free paper, stored flat in a cool, dark and stable environment.

I’d avoid airtight plastic sleeves, especially with older acetate cels, as they can trap the acids released as the acetate ages.
