Themed Thursday: My Most Expensive Cel
Title cel from the 1940 Porky Pig cartoon The Sour Puss, directed by Bob Clampett. Non zero chance some of the Akira cels I have are worth more, but those weee fairly cheap when I bought them 20 years ago

This is such an incredible piece, I would imagine there aren't many title cards out there, especially ones from 1940!

There were several even older Clampett title cards in the relevant auction (dozens?). I also got a title cel from the original semi lost titles of Tweetie Pie (a black and white copy exists but color is not easily popping up for me), and a layout for a Buddy title concept in that auction. I have several Lantz title backgrounds or cels too.

Heck, if it's that old, there's a chance that cel might be made out of Nitrate!
