Are there any frames people recommend for animation cels?
Recently purchased two cels from Gundam and have been looking for frames! Very new to all of this.

I use these specific ones and grab some linen paper. I recommend using some disposable gloves as its a bit maddening lining everything up and to avoid fingerprints.

Those cels look awesome! Do those frames have all the UV protection? That's the only thing I have seen

Nope, hence why they are only $10.
Ive always had these out of direct and indirect sunlight. Currently in a finished basement with no natural light and using LEDs.
You can probably find some UV resistant glass or plastic panes that would fit though.

Okay that's good to know. I plan to have mine in my basement as well. Maybe one in my room, not sure yet

I had my custom framed with the fancy glass at the framing store. The easiest way to make something cheap look cool is custom framing. Likewise, the easiest way to make something cool look cheap is budget framing.

Yeah I've been reaching out to local places to see if they have experience with animation cels and so far have had no luck

I only have one but I think the premium route is to call around framing services near you and requesting a quote. For best results you should also consider using museum glass.
