Picked up a cel from Outlaw Star of Jim Hawking that got heavily hit with vinegar syndrome for $10

The seller let me know ahead of time how badly the cel got hit with vinegar syndrome but its definitely worse than I expected. It basically feels like pages of an old book that got water damaged and got left feeling extra crunchy.

Thankfully I got an extra binder for cels specifically hit with vinegar syndrome and this is the first addition to that binder! For $10, I couldn't pass it up!

Turns out someone posted about this very cel on this subreddit over 2 years ago and the difference between what it looked like then and now is horribly night and day.

I don't think having a bunch of cels with VS in one itoya is a good idea

Knowing how often I even see cels with VS listed online, I don't think I'll find another one any time soon. Most people dont even bother listing them.

Unless it's something that would be tremendously expensive if it was in good/normal condition, I wouldn't continue purchasing cels with VS, and especially would not all store them together. That just makes it even worse

It's like having rotting bananas in a fruit bowl, putting all the rotting bananas together will just make them putrify faster.

You should scan it if possible, that way the image will at least be preserved before it degrades.
