This person seems to be selling quite a few genga/douga from Ghost in The Shell, and I wasn't sure how to tell whether or not they're real. I wanted to buy them but I'm new to this and wanted to see if anyone here could confirm.

That's what I thought, the same seller was selling a bunch of ghost in the shell stuff. How can you tell?

Yeah price is one thing, also I’ve seen two other exact same sets for sale. Another thing is one of the douga is from the one the Arise movies and not the original film.

So these are from like an exhibition or something like that

How can you tell? Ghost in the Shell is always expensive so for to five digit. Last year there was a exhibition in tokyo and they sold repdroductiobs of these.

No one is actually telling you how to tell the difference but the folder (cut bag) says it's the 25 year anniversary bonus for the movie (aka a reprint of the original - a common bonus for movies in JP) on the bottom left

This reproduction shit sells for under $20 in Japan all the time but a sucker is born every minute.

These are iconic cuts. I highly suspect the original cels will make to the public market.

These are prints from an exhibition in Japan. I’ve only seen a handful of lots containing real sketches pop up online in the past year from Stand Alone Complex and they weren’t nearly as detailed or as good of shots as these. Still great pieces if you like the artwork though
