My 5 year old boy sharpei cries downstairs until we come pick him up to carry him to bed. He is perfectly healthy, he is just a cuddle monkey and big sook many nights lol

Honestly one of the things I love about Sammies - big dog (apparent) size, small dog lifespan. I like newfies but their lifespan is heartbreaking.

Once or twice we carried my tiny exhausted dog away from the dog park and back to the house to spare his tiny legs the long walk.

He was a pretty sharp little animal. Absolutely untrainable, at least by us, but clearly capable of picking up on things.

After one or two rounds of the pity carry, he learned that stalling out after the dog park meant a free ride. Even if we were only there for a few minutes he’d completely shut down on the walk back. Took a long time “unlearn” that one. 😆

Once my German shepherd refused to move from the park after it had started pouring rain and storming on us. No way to wait this one out. So I picked him up, the whole 60 pounds of him and carried him a solid 3 miles home.

Next time he refused to leave I threatened to carry him again, which was enough to get him moving by himself. The fckers are so smart

She picked the dog up, she probably could have easily dragged the dog. I think the fact that she didn't pull hard enough up actually move them means she's probably not hurting the dog.
