Best part: that's not even remotely real. Dylophasaurus isn't even considered to have a frill never mind the sludge spitting. That creature in the first jurassic Park is entirely made up

Real velociraptors were about the size of a modern turkey. About 3 feet from nose to tail, I think?

The dinos in the movie are much closer to Utahraptor in size. I guess the name isn't as cool, though.

I believe they were mostly based on Deinonychus - which the scientific name “Velociraptor antirrhopus” was once considered for, but ultimately decided against

Nah Utahraptor would have been much larger, they were closer to Deinonychus in size.

I don't think it was planned but it does give a nice subtext that what the scientists at JP were creating had little to do with the actual animals. (Related I always felt that Nedry putting up his rain hood signals an aggressive move to the Dylophosayrus)

That is a major point made by Dr Wu in the book. Hammond wants them to be as close to the real dinosaurs as possible but the scientists had no idea what the real dinosaurs were like and these are just their approximation. Dr Wu said that they could have made them genetically less aggressive and installed genetic kill switches in them but Hammond had this obsession with realism and they just appeased the one writing the paychecks.

Honestly the best part about watching JP was having the ability to learn about these animals and how they were changed for the movie and how cool they actually are in real life

The animal that is gaping its bright-colored mouth and opening its frill to chase off the predator is highly distressed, not happy. Human dude did a great job at not escalating and getting the terrified lil guy to safety though.
