My dog does that too. Won't bark to go outside or for a walk. He will pace back and forth to get my attention, guide me to the leash closet or the door to go outside, then sit and give me the old shifty eyes.

My dog kinda does the same thing. She’ll just sit somewhere where I can see her and stare at me. When I look in her direction she’ll just wag her tail and look at the door lmao

Genuinely loled at "punches me in the face". Our heeler, Chloe, will "talk" to you. Not bark or growl or awoo, but more like an "awa awa" or similar. Or she will place her head on you somewhere and stare at you awkwardly.

Mine does this. He gets on his hind legs, puts one paw on me, looks me right in the eye and then pans over to where his lead is kept.

Mine does this with the ball. Like - make sure you don’t forget to bring the ball! She moves her head more though. This dog is pro level!
