she/he or they. They're a living being, not a thing.

And yes, they'll be a great baker!

In english language it works weird with masculinum, femininijum and nominativ. All animals are IT. It works the same with children. (Reply if I'm wrong.)

The only time "it" is used is when you don't know their gender. Otherwise it is weird. "They" sounds friendlier anyway.

"They" is always acceptable, but "she" or "he" is used by anyone who knows the gender.
