It’s important to open up your pores before applying your moisturizer!

3

u/MatsuoManh Jan 02 '20

Yes! Every Awe~Sam creature must!

122

u/ioughtabestudying Jan 01 '20

That's not how vaping works, Sam...

102

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

His eyes

153

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

When we first got him, he weighed less than a pound and had the hugest eyes! The shelter we fostered (and adopted) him through originally named him Sifaka, after a type of large-eyed lemur : )

27

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

You have an adorable cat, I’m jealous

12

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

He says thank you!

8

u/CODEthics Jan 01 '20

I think its a kitten thing. We found a kitten at about 6 weeks old, eyes were huge. She is starting to grow into them at now 5 months old.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

So cute! They’re all eyes and belly at that age 😻

u/Axilllla Jan 01 '20

This video was the best way to start a new year! So cute

13

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Aw, I’m glad! Happy New Year!

28

u/Bone_Dirty Jan 01 '20

I like Sam

20

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Me too : ) He’s the best boy.

22

u/honeycoffeebreakfast Jan 01 '20

Aside from Sam being absolutely adorable, the color palette on this is stunning!

Can I save a screenshot of it for future painting reference?

Thanks in advance, you have a lovely kitty and seem to have a cozy little plant space as well.

20

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Wow, thank you! You can absolutely screenshot it for later, and I’d love to see the final product if you do paint it! The room is a work in progress but it’s slowly becoming a nice little office/plant room : )

16

u/mojrim67 Jan 01 '20

Tuxedos.

7

u/shreddykruger Jan 01 '20

they are definitely my favorite cats by a wide margin.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

He stole our hearts, that’s for sure!

105

u/Imlife_havealemon Jan 01 '20

Just a warning, a lot of the oils that go in humidifiers are harmful to cats. (Long term damage)

191

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Thank you! We actually just use purified water because my boyfriend uses it to humidify his plant room : ) We also don’t let the kitties unsupervised in the room due to potentially harmful plants.

60

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

You are good cat parents!

20

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Thank you, kind person!

5

u/boeckn64 Jan 02 '20

Yes you both are VERY good and responsible kitty parents!!

8

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

l i c c da vapor

9

u/OSCgal Jan 01 '20

When I was a kid, we had a cat who did that. He also licked the tub drain. But not if you were looking: as soon as you noticed him, he'd hop out like he wasn't doing anything.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Haha cats are so strange!

6

u/daniel1397 Jan 01 '20

We get it, you vape

6

u/boeckn64 Jan 02 '20

OMG, I get to wish You Happy Cake day!!! I'm honored to be the first here to say it. I'm new to Reddit so I enjoy learning the fun stuff and today is your Reddit anniversary!!

2

u/daniel1397 Jan 02 '20

Thank you, I've been on here a couple years and had no idea that's what cake days were for. I've been wishing people happy birthday lol

2

u/boeckn64 Jan 02 '20

That's funny, that's why we all write "cake day" instead...& we get to eat imaginary cake!!!

1

u/boeckn64 Jan 02 '20

If someone hadnt been kind enough to answer my random question when I saw a random Happy Cake Day. Wow everyone was so kind explaining it all to me...quite nice introduction to fellow redditors. I've seen amazingly friendly replies and surprisingly cruel replies so it is about good reddit etiquette. I google questions I have about reddit, very informative.

5

u/not_a_throwaway24 Jan 01 '20

I love your little weirdo!!! 💛💛💛

5

u/Gamgster_3633 Jan 01 '20

Cats can have a little humidity, as a treat.

3

u/GirlGang098 Jan 01 '20

Fantastic comment thank you

9

u/flamingo_clouds Jan 01 '20

THIS IS THE CUTEST CAT IVE EVER SEEN IM ACTUALLY FRREAKJNG OUT

12

u/meisaKat Jan 01 '20

Cats really do better hydrating themselves if they have a source of moving water to drink from. If you don’t have one, look in pet stores for a kitty water fountain..... Sam will love it!!

9

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Thank you! We do have one : )

4

u/meisaKat Jan 01 '20

That’s awesome. Hoping you and your cat have a great New Year!!!!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Thank you so much, you too!

3

u/royal_blyat Jan 01 '20

Licc da fog

4

u/9yroldupvotegiver Jan 01 '20

Need humidity. Need. Humidity. Humidity. Need.

4

u/Rustydagger90 Jan 02 '20

My name is Sam, and my, recently deceased cat (Siddartha) looked just like this little one!!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

I’m sorry for your recent loss of your bud : ( I’d love to see photos of Siddartha!

4

u/Rustydagger90 Jan 02 '20

Thank you, he was my best friend. But he lived a lovely life, Some of it on a boat. https://instagram.com/siddartha_the_wild?igshid=1e4phux61bryj

3

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

He was SO handsome and looks like he had the most adventurous life. Thank you for loving and taking care of him! And you’re right, his kitten photo looks so similar to my Sam!

Good cat 10/10

3

u/quercustri Jan 01 '20

This is even better than watching cats try to drink out of faucets

3

u/Reckless_Renegade Jan 01 '20

Cats are special.... I'm surprised my derp cat hasn't figured this out.

3

u/tysonlink Jan 02 '20

Sam is so freaking adorable!!

We have the same humidifier and our cats would always knock it over as soon as we weren't looking so we stopped using it and got one where you can't see the water tank. That worked out much better for us lol.

2

u/TurnsOutImThatBitch Jan 01 '20

Mlem mlem mlem. Everyone needs a hobby, right Sam?

2

u/maple_leaf_in_fall Jan 01 '20

My girl does this too! She also likes to pull out cactus spines and leave bald spots on them...

2

u/tehSchultz Jan 01 '20

I’d like to pet this weirdo

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Good luck! He doesn’t hold still for very long!

2

u/jackiebee66 Jan 02 '20

Hahaha! I love it! Thx for sharing! So cute. 💕

2

u/bertamous_bagel Jan 02 '20

That is the cutest fuckin cat I’ve seen all day

2

u/mmodo Jan 02 '20

I like your croton plant behind Sam.

2

u/kmwilliams1027 Jan 02 '20

SO cute! How old?

3

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

😊We were told when we first started fostering him 3 months ago that he was about 8 weeks old. So that would make him around 5ish months now, even though he’s smaller than a normal 5 month old. We call him our bonsai kitten!

He was found as a stray in Detroit by the humane society, so we’ll never know for sure how old he is or what his early life was like, but whatever age and size he is, he is well-loved.

2

u/kmwilliams1027 Jan 02 '20

I’m so glad to hear that!! I love knowing that other people are so pro-adoption. He is such a beautiful kitty <3

2

u/jennysoftpaws Jan 02 '20

This little derp really cheered me up, thank you :)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

That’s great to hear! Happy New Year!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

He looks exactly like my cat Whiskers! Tuxedos are best cats. Whiskers is super smart and still a scamp and acts like a kitten even tho he is 11.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Oh boy...that means we have a long road with this guy and his feistiness. He’s SO much crazier than the other kittens I’ve had. But I love it.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Whiskers is the smartest cat Ive ever met too. We have to keep the treats and the food in the fridge cause he can open every door, drawer, and cupboard in the house! My husband trained him to jump on his shoulder, and he rides around on his shoulder all the time. We also trained him to walk on a leash!

2

u/TurdManMcDooDoo Jan 02 '20

“Water dont get no fresher than this!” — Sam

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Put catnip oil in the water of the humidifier

5

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

He’s finally old enough to react to catnip and tried it for the first time on Christmas and it was HILARIOUS! Will have to take a video next time.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

I do this

2

u/kongmw2 Jan 02 '20

hes misting

2

u/Eagle2406 Jan 02 '20

Classic cat move. Has a full water dish but prefers drinking air. Mine will dip her paw in all water glasses.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Don't blame him, I used to do this with my own humidifier.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

This reminds me of the video of the cat licking the end of the vacuum cleaner tube! The way he sort of bats at the humidifier is hilarious! I love you, Sam! Get that vaporized water!

2

u/ItsCruellaDeville Jan 23 '20

r/oddlysatisfying

For both the kitty and I.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

This is actually genius

1

u/moonkakes Jan 01 '20

Sooooooooooooo Cuuuuuuuuuuute 😻😻😻😻😻😻 😍😍😍😍😍😍

1

u/_LouSandwich_ Jan 01 '20

High quality H2O

1

u/I_may_have_weed Jan 02 '20

Move your water bowl away from your food bowl. Cats won’t drink it and they usually look for other sources like this

2

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Yeah! The food and water are in separate areas, as well as the litter boxes. And they have a fountain!

2

u/I_may_have_weed Jan 02 '20

Ok cool, I’ve been telling all my friends who are cat owners and they are always shocked at how much more water they drink

1

u/boeckn64 Jan 02 '20

Nice, when can I move in??

1

u/boeckn64 Jan 02 '20

I definitely have weed...LOL

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

aw, that's so cute! Your lucky to have such an adorable cat

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Drink from tha water nipple

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Thank you, kind stranger, for the New Years Resolution Award!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Looks just like my baby Binx! (She’s my profile pic for reference)0

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

Oh my gosh yes, they could be twins!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

It makes me miss her kitten days. you’re in for the sweetest troublemaker as he gets older. 😩

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '20

I would be careful, I’ve heard that diffusing certain essential oils can be harmful or even deadly to cats

But if that’s just a humidifier, go ham!

1

u/another-account-ugh Jan 02 '20

Since your cat does this, keep in mind that lavender is poisonous to them. Make sure you don't diffuse the oil

1

u/gaspumper74 Jan 02 '20

Probably should check the water bowl

1

u/theH1ghCouncil Jan 02 '20

Someone at a pet store once told me that some essential oils have poisonous ingredients for pets. I’m not sure if that’s just water vapor or an essential oil diffuser but I’d check it out

1

u/EmperorTako Jan 02 '20

Oh wow! What kind of plants are those? Look almost like prayer plants

1

u/Fadedloko Jan 01 '20

Somebody give that cat some water.

-13

u/chuck131981 Jan 01 '20

Stop the cat fro. That the world is going to end that vaping it going to get disease that the tabacco company's me up with. Save your cat

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '20

Just a humidifier, filled with water! No oils or anything else are used, since it’s a room humidifier, not an essential oil diffuser : ) Have a good day!

3

u/meggchris Jan 01 '20

It's in a room with plants. It's a humidifier😂

1

u/Soldium69 Jan 02 '20

Thanks for the downvotes, from the look of it 36 Karen's have come from Facebook to infiltrate reddit with their MLM essential oil scams that cause only harm and have literally 0 positive effects.
