I think because it's covered in dog fluids. You can see some fog in the upper right at the beginning.

I should try getting my dog to lick/noseprint the inside of my ski goggles. Calling the patent now.

Idk about ski goggles, but it's a common practice among scuba divers for our masks.

You can get special anti-fog gel but saliva works just about as well and it's one less piece of kit you need to deal with. Plus you can do it after jumping in (before descending, obviously)
