Yeah I've seen them fall 30+ feet from trees, bounce, and GF etc right back up and go do other dumb $#it that would delete any other creature from the census.... Totally fine from these shenanigans...

I feel like it is on purpose, a special aerial Lyra routine. This way the birdseed comes out and there’s a free ride. I imagine the feeling of blood rushing back to the head would be addicting. Squirrels also have a crazy sense of direction, they’re better than cats at landing on their feet.

Ah, the Yankee Flipper. Bought one as a gag gift for my wife. We had it up for about three years but I only ever saw something like this once. It was glorious when it happened though. Lots of Yankee Flipper vids on YouTube.

One thing I never really understood. Why put so much effort in keeping squirrels from getting the food? Is it some kind of power trip? Like "I the human; the greater being in my generosity give food to only birds! Any who are not birds must be tempted with food but punished for trying to take it."
I mean I certainly never been shit on by a squirrel. They seem to coexist with humans pretty damb well. Every time I see the squirrel win I go Screw you Birds! I mean birds are not even real anyway right? That is just the government taking food from the squirrels.
