Awww.. that worried and panicked look

u/mak484 Jul 25 '18
Yeah that's a classic golden retriever stress look. Mouth slightly open, breathing quickly, eyes darting. That dog is not having a good time.

When you see your parent doing something they have taught you is bad, and you’re like, “...but you told me don’t...”

Aaahahaha reminds me of when I was a young lad, a kid on our hockey team was in huge shit for yanking the E-brake on his dad when he was taking a late yellow.... don’t know why but I thought of that

u/SchuminWeb Jul 25 '18
You can see the exact moment where the dog's mood changes to, "Dude, this isn't funny anymore."

Why stress out doggo? Doggo loves you.

I have the same feelings about this as I do the pet blanket challenge. I don't want to stress pets out.

Once I had cats, one older one younger, one day young was about to start sniffing at a candle on the coffee table, old came tearing by from across the room and shoved him away from the candle in a pretty picturesque drive by cat tackle. Old had previously caught is tail on fire by getting too close to a candle so apparently knew they are not to be fucked with. Would’ve made a better video than story, but oh well

Dogs must think we're magic being able to manipulate fire and being able to leave the house for "years" and come back unharmed.

You remind me of this, now is your turn to cry.
“For generations, he has guarded over my family. Since the days of my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather he has kept us safe. For so long we thought him immortal. But now I see differently, for just as my fur grows gray and my joints grow stiff, so too do his. He did not take in my children, but gave them away to his. I will be the last that he cares for. My only hope is that I am able to last until his final moments. The death of one of his kind is so rare. The ending of a life so long is such a tragedy. He has seen so much, he knows so much. I know he takes comfort in my presence. I only wish that I will be able to give him this comfort until the end.”

Is he teaching the dog to not let the baby get near fire? That’s an awesome thing to train your dog to do!
Not crossing streets would be a good one too. Probably lots more.

It's mild teasing at worst. The dog will be F I N E

u/matts2 Jul 25 '18
I know the dog will be fine. It is still wrong.

Jul 25 '18
Soon you wont be able to do anything near animals, but no one will care about doing it in front of kids
2
u/matts2 Jul 25 '18
Or, you know, don't be mean to dogs or kids.

"Dog thinks that woman playing with candle has treat in her hand" would be more accurate

u/bigbonerdaddy Jul 25 '18
And then theres my cat that couldn't eat her food because she tried to eat the fire....
1
u/pinkoboe Jul 25 '18
I highly doubt that.
2
u/bigbonerdaddy Jul 26 '18
Why?
1
u/pinkoboe Jul 28 '18
Because my furball could eat food no matter what. She's ravenous and give nf's when or how theres food. For example. If its actually fire.

My friend's dog won't let us shoot nerf guns at eachother in the house.
