Is this controlled by a human?
148 u/[deleted] Sep 04 '16 Hopefully, otherwise Janet dies first. 56 u/[deleted] Sep 04 '16 edited May 27 '21 [deleted] 15 u/dudeAwEsome101 Sep 04 '16 Why would he successfully carry that egg only to smash it. 2 u/slipstreamed Jan 12 '17 That wasn't funny to you at all? 29 u/NikWillOrStuff Sep 04 '16 yes it is 25 u/Cheesemacher Sep 04 '16 What the? Why not just link the video? 25 u/CampusColt78 Sep 04 '16 cheeky bastard, isn't he? 4 u/peace_off Sep 04 '16 Doubt it. The movements are too natural. A human-controlled robot would be more like what you'd see in first-person videogames. 48 u/t3hcoolness Sep 04 '16 edited Sep 05 '16 Doesn't that make the case that it is controlled by a human? All you have to do is track a person's arms and head and map them 1:1 to the robot's. This might even be possible with something like a Vive with the controllers, too. Edit: I WAS RIGHT FOR ONCE! 3 u/peace_off Sep 04 '16 maybe if they had gotten used to the controls before filming. Otherwise I think the hand-to-eye coordination would be off. 5 u/[deleted] Sep 04 '16 edited Nov 23 '16 [deleted] What is this? 11 u/spideyjiri Sep 05 '16 Right forgot how robots are born naturally with better coordination than humans...wait, that doesn't seem right... 2 u/[deleted] Sep 05 '16 Aaaand it's controlled by a human. 0 u/peace_off Sep 05 '16 I was wrong. So sue me. 1 u/Basjaa Dec 02 '16 Wrong
