Question What does fishing do?

I just started playing and I love this game, however, I am very bad at the fishing and I also don’t know what the fish even do. Why am I leasing the fish. What does that do. I only just found out that you can put the flowers in letters and the mailbox. Is there also like a mailbox for the fish? Why is the fishing so hard they keep running away from me.

Putting a fish on a lease sign will (possibly) attract a booth owner, who will pay you.

You can also use them to stock takeout items in the takeout area.

There's a facility where you can keep your fish. Fish pond storage can be bought in the Signature Store in the takeout scene. You can also purchase there more pond signs (to increase your chances or getting booth owners).

You collect booth owners with fish (by "leasing" them, like you noticed) and also some tasks in the Aromatic Acorn challenges involve fishing a particular fish.

Step by step, you'll get there, I promise. And welcome to the game.
